What Reiki Is
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy-based practice rooted in the understanding that a universal life energy flows through all living things. During a Reiki session, this energy is invited to flow in a way that supports balance, relaxation, and overall well-being — helping the body and nervous system shift out of stress and into a state of rest and restoration.
Many people experience Reiki as deeply calming, grounding, or spiritually nourishing. Sessions may support emotional balance, increased self-awareness, clarity, and a stronger sense of connection—to yourself, your body, and something greater than you.
Reiki does not require belief to be effective and is received fully clothed, either in person or at a distance.
Reiki is best understood as a supportive wellness practice that works alongside, not in place of, other forms of care.
What Reiki Isn’t
Reiki is not medical treatment, psychotherapy, or a substitute for professional healthcare. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, or claim to heal disease.
Reiki is also not something that is done to you or a force that overrides your free will. Instead, it supports your body’s natural wisdom and innate capacity for balance. Each person’s experience is unique, and no specific outcome is guaranteed.
What Coaching Is
Coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused process that helps you clarify goals, increase self-awareness, and create meaningful, sustainable change. Coaching supports you in exploring patterns, beliefs, and habits that may be contributing to stress, burnout, or feeling stuck—and in developing practical tools to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Coaching sessions may include reflective conversation, skill-building, goal-setting, accountability, and practical strategies for navigating life, work, and personal growth. The emphasis is on empowerment, choice, and intentional action.
Coaching assumes that you are capable, resourceful, and whole—and that with the right support, insight, and tools, change is possible.
What Coaching Isn’t
Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or crisis intervention. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions, and it is not a replacement for licensed mental health or medical care.
While coaching may involve discussing emotions or past experiences, the focus remains on the present and future—not on clinical assessment or trauma processing. Coaching is designed to support growth, not to provide treatment.
When combined, Reiki and coaching offer both nervous system support and practical integration. Reiki helps calm the body and mind, while coaching helps translate insight into real-life action—creating a balanced, whole-person approach to well-being.
